Fantastic opportunity for a qualified Group Accountant to join a thriving start up in the super yacht sector.

This company was recently created and has already built a great client list with several exciting projects on the horizon too.
Due to the nature of the company being a start up you will be the first full time person on the ground in the accounts department reporting directly to the MD and company owner.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to build the accounts department from scratch and develop SOPs, reports etc.
Full flexibility to work remotely from home. You must be within an hour or two drive of Brighton and be available to meet up regularly with the company owner.

You’ll have the freedom to make a difference and to put your own ideas into practice whilst helping to drive growth, efficiency and profit.
Your responsibilities will include:
Understand and advise on efficient tax strategies.
Provide monthly consolidated management accounts.
Support Yacht Management teams in relation to financial reporting.
Provide assistance to financial reporting of yachts.
Financial accounts for group.
Budgeting & forecasting.
Monthly reports to MD & business owner assessing business performance .
Involved in financial management of various exciting projects supporting Directors.
Staying on top of available tech to ensure we evolve.
Managing a team of 2 or 3, all remotely.
Maintain statutory registers and tax authorities reporting requirements.
You will be:
An experienced accountant who is a minimum of 5 years post qual.
Most likely you will have built your skills up working outside of the Big 4 before having several years of commercial experience.
Experience in the maritime or luxury sectors is desirable but not essential at all.
What is essential is being tech savvy, driven and ambitious. Alongside that you must be personable and capable of building good relationships internally.
The position offers a good salary that is dependant on experience.
