Land-Based Build Engineer – Superyacht New Builds
Location: Predominantly Northern Italy (with occasional travel to other locations)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proven Land-Based Build Engineer to join our team, working on several superyacht projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in large superyacht new builds and, ideally, sea trials. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the technical and operational success of our builds, collaborating with leading European shipyards. The ability to ‘juggle’ multiple projects and spend time where you are most needed is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and technical support during the construction and commissioning of large superyachts.
- Act as liaison between shipyard teams and project stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are met.
- Participate in sea trials (if applicable) to validate performance and compliance.
- Review engineering plans, systems integration, and ensure adherence to design and build specifications.
- Work closely with multiple European shipyards, leveraging your industry expertise.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in superyacht new builds is essential.
- Experience in sea trials is highly desirable.
- Preferably holds a Chief Unlimited License; candidates with Class 2 Unlimited or Y1/Y2 certification will also be considered.
- Previous experience as a Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer.
- Strong familiarity with European shipyards and their practices.
- European Passport or the right to work in Europe is highly desirable.
