New Build Project Manager
Location: South of the UK (with international travel)
Permanent | Full-time

A leading team in the superyacht management sector is seeking a highly experienced New Build Project Manager to join their technical team based in the South of England. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a global operation, managing complex and prestigious yacht new builds from inception to delivery.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple new build superyacht projects, ensuring technical excellence, timely delivery, and alignment with client expectations. This role requires regular international travel and an office presence when not onsite.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company onsite at new build shipyards and subcontractors.

  • Conduct daily inspections and project oversight.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting for stakeholders.

  • Identify and resolve potential risks related to schedule, cost, and quality.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, shipyards, and external stakeholders.

  • Liaise with Class societies, Flag states, and regulatory authorities.

  • Provide technical and engineering support to the fleet when required.

  • Monitor budgets and negotiate contracts or amendments in the client’s interest.

  • Support the wider technical team on additional projects as needed.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • In-depth knowledge of yacht construction, systems engineering, coatings, and class/flag regulations.

  • Proven experience at new build shipyards, ideally in a project management capacity.

  • A background as a senior marine engineer (seagoing or shoreside) is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex projects.

  • High levels of organisation, initiative, and attention to detail.

  • Competence in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and valid passport.

  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
