Technical Manager – Hybrid Role, Fort Lauderdale

About the Role
As a Technical Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing technical support to a managed fleet of yachts, working closely with Captains and Chief Engineers to resolve technical issues, maintain compliance, and uphold safety standards. This role maybe hybrid (subject to successful probation), requiring regular presence in the Fort Lauderdale office, and offers a chance to work within a dynamic and growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Oversight: Proactively coordinate technical management services and ensure yachts meet safety and maintenance standards.
- Safety Compliance: Oversee technical compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS) and conduct annual onboard inspections.
- Crew Support: Build strong relationships with Captains and Chief Engineers, offering guidance and support for maintenance and emergency repairs.
- System Implementation: Assist in implementing and monitoring planned maintenance systems and ensure their correct execution.
- Commercial Development: Identify opportunities for refits, new builds, and additional yacht management services.
Who We’re Looking For
- A Chief Engineer from the Superyacht sector transitioning ashore OR a Technical Manager with 4+ years of experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of yacht systems and maritime regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to client and team relationships.
